It is useful to ask ourselves what is going on in the community as far as
social dynamics and interpersonal and social relationships are concerned. A
reality has been constructed which is devoid of any constructive emotional or
passionate incentives, which are fundamental to the development of a sense of
belonging, not only to a family but also to a particular community. It is as if
the skill of having relationships with others, of creating meaningful and deep
bonds, of weaving networks among social systems, has been lost; as if the
capacity to attend to others, to pay attention to them and try to understand them
even though they are different, is missing1
