International higher education has been changing in dramatic ways. It is increasingly influenced by globalization while at the same time it is coming to play a dynamic role in the global economy. While this is particularly so in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, continental Europe and Asia have also witnessed a growing sense of relationship between the economy and higher education.
