This is a personal account of my 20 yearlong stint with the Office of the United High Commissioner for Refugees. The events I describe are accurate to the best of my recollection. Conversely, the opinions expressed are my own and unashamedly subjective at that. Working for the UN can be fun. And it can also do some good provided one is ready to lie, fib, obfuscate and break all the rules.
