-Percussion instruments through works of art-

This book offers a unique meeting between two arts : percussion and colour.

Through this daring and singular process, Jean-Michel Froidure offers to discover works of art which show one or several percussion instruments.

Through the pages the book opens to percussionists, enthousiasts or beginners, who have the curiosity to learn more about each named instrument : historical, musicologic, organologic ressources and era of invention. For each one, we discover an instrumental description, the way of using it and in which musical work/s you'll be able to listen to it.
