This book examined the different types of pollution of the Niger River, as well as their consequences, known and visible, subtler and more unsuspected, but all as perilous. This book on the pollution peril brings scientific clarifications on the mechanisms of contamination of various types of pollutants and their impact on animal and plant species. The author proposes some possible solutions to prevent, limit and reduce the growing pollution of the Niger River.

Dr. Sidy BA holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Sherbrooke (Canada) and an MSc in Environmental Engineering from Montana State University-Bozeman (USA). Dr. BA is an Associate Professor at the Rural Polytechnic Institute for Training and Applied Research in Katibougou, Mali. He has also lectured at universities in the United States, Canada and the Middle East and has authored several scientific publications. Dr BA does humanitarian work through Nine Villages Inc., a charity co-founded in Montana and operates in Mali.
